1. Data Controller

The data controller is the operator of originalecufiles.com (“Original ECU Files”, “we”), reachable for any privacy matter at info [at] originalecufiles [dot] com.

2. Data We Collect

When you purchase a file we collect: your email address, the details of your order (file purchased, price, date, order reference) and the technical data needed to process the transaction. Payment card data is never collected or stored by this website: payments are processed entirely by Stripe (see Section 4). Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested pages) are processed for security and to keep the service running.

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process your data to: (a) deliver the file you purchased and manage your order — performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; (b) comply with tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; (c) prevent fraud and abuse of the service — legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use your data for profiling and we do not send marketing communications.

4. Recipients

Your data is shared only with the providers needed to run the service: Stripe (payment processing — see Stripe’s privacy policy), our hosting provider, and our email delivery provider. These providers act as data processors or independent controllers under their own terms. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA (e.g. Stripe, Inc. in the United States), transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

Order and invoicing data is kept for the period required by applicable tax law. Server logs are kept for a short technical period. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your Rights

Under Articles 15-22 GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability, where applicable. To exercise your rights, write to info [at] originalecufiles [dot] com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your competent supervisory authority.

7. Cookies

This website uses only technical cookies strictly necessary for its operation (e.g. checkout session). No profiling or advertising cookies are set. Should analytics or third-party cookies be introduced in the future, this policy and the site’s consent mechanism will be updated accordingly.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision. See also our Terms of Sale & Use.
